Gilbert IV is currently in a three year internal residency at Carraway Medical Center here in Birmingham. He is really working hard; but enjoying it.

We are all looking forward to the marriage of James and Georgianne Patterson in March. You may recall, James served an 8 month tour of duty with the Marines near Al Fallujah, Iraq – we are thankful for his safe return; he is now working as a GIS / environmental specialist with The Nature Conservancy.

Our John is a Cadet at Virginia Military Institute (VMI) in Lexington, VA majoring in chemistry, playing bagpipes and working toward a commission in the Marines.

We’d love for you to visit us in Birmingham, until that time, please visit my website:
http://www.gilbertdouglas.com/

Love and best regards,
Gilbert & Cindy Douglas

Alabama to LEXINGTON, VIRGINIA... they made it

Cindy and I caught up with John Douglas and Scott Sanders as they completed the last few miles of a grueling 500 mile bicycle trip.

They finished about 5PM 12 August when they arrived at Jackson Arch of Virginia Militery Institue (VMI).
